55 ft lbs isn't that high for the secondary bolt. My assumption for the one that sheared off is that it was originally over torqued. I've found a good handful of bolts on my machine that seem over torqued from the factory. IMO Dealers also have a tendency to over torque because they get in a rush .... we are then left to pick up the pieces.

The secondary clutch fell off... that's right just driving along and bang... Thankfully I got it all back together. But I noticed something interesting the clutch engagement is smoother now. Yes 2013 was worse, you have to check frequently and have a torque fixture to tighten it properly.
